Child Protection & Employment Policies
We have a range of comprehensive policies in place to help safeguard our students, staff and community.
AAS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Our policies help to ensure that we have the highest performing professionals serving at AAS and that all staff and volunteers share this commitment.
Police checks are carried out on all employees prior to an offer of employment and references are always sought from previous employers. The School also requires all employees to produce evidence of qualifications and references are sought from previous employers.
Finally, all employees are required to sign a declaration that:
- They are in the possession of the qualifications they claim
- They are not disqualified from working with children
- That they have no convictions, cautions or bind-overs or are subject to any sanctions imposed by any regulatory bodies.
