Director of Learning and Curriculum

Angela Assed joined AAS in 2015 as a Math and Science Specialist and currently serves as Director of Learning and Curriculum across the school.  Angela is from Texas, USA and has lived in six countries. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and holds a Masters in Education. Prior to joining AAS she was Director of Planning and Administration at a post secondary school in Texas. Her teaching experience ranges from teaching elementary school to high school. Angela has a true passion for the field of education and for supporting students to reach their potential. She has four children of her own, three of whom graduated from AAS. Angela’s oldest daughter received her undergraduate university degree from MIT and completed her graduate studies at Stanford University; her second daughter recently graduated from the University of Texas; her third daughter is attending the University of Bath; and her son is a high school student at AAS.  In her free time Angela likes to spend time with her family, go skiing in the beautiful Bulgarian mountain resorts, attend live music events, and read.
