Enhancing the School Outdoor Study Space

For my CAS project, my partner and I worked together to create an outdoor study space for students at our school. We began planning at the end of 2024 and continued working on it into
2025. Our main goal was to make a calm, creative environment where students could enjoy studying outside. We decided to repaint old furniture using bright and cheerful colors to make
the space feel more engaging and positive.

Throughout the project, we planned everything carefully by staying in regular contact with school staff who could support us, such as maintenance and administration. We talked with them about where the space could be set up, what materials we would need, and how to get permission to use the area and supplies. Once the planning was done, we spent time painting the tables and chairs. The painting process turned out to be one of the most enjoyable parts, it felt relaxing, and it was great to see our vision start to come to life.

From this project, I learned how important good communication and planning are when working on a team project. I also realized how even small creative changes can make a big difference in the way people feel in a space. This experience showed me that with teamwork, creativity, and community support, we can create something meaningful that benefits others.
