Student Builds Website to Help Wildlife

Initially, senior Presian N decided to help his classmate Shon G. with in-person fundraisers for the World Wildlife Fund. The students wanted to offer authorized WWF products to the school-wide community, and donate all the money from sales back to the organization. But, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, in-person stands and selling points were not possible. Thus, Presian realized that he had the opportunity to take a greater role within this fundraiser. Since he had some minimal experience with website development for commercial purposes, he felt that he would be a good addition to the team.

Within the website, which is still active to this day, the team's initiative was able to offer more than twenty different World Wildlife Fund products, as well as valuable information about the project and the people involved. Through multiple edits, constant peer-review and continuous corrections, Presian was able to independently create a website that was visually appealing, very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Through this website, after coming in close contact with the WWF based in Sofia, Presian realized how important their work with animals and maintaining habitats is. Thus, he  became very passionate about working with them, and trying to make the world a better place for the animals in Bulgaria, and all around the world. ''I believe that this project was very significant for me, because building websites for commercial purposes is something I would like to continue to do in the future, as it greatly sparked my interest" Presian shared.
