Last Sunday a group of 10 IB students gathered to clean the Cross-country track around the AAS campus. They did a great job, collecting 6 big bags of garbage and making the area more pleasant for the community.
In addition to the clean up, three IB Environmental Systems and Societies students: Salama, Alex, and Nelly have been going into ES classrooms to spread awareness on the dangers of plastic waste to our planet. Aside from a presentation, the trio spent time educating the youth through a story, a game, and an opportunity to reduce waste by making lip-balm - DYI style, where students can reduce packaging waste by making homemade-products. The message is simple: the best way to have less waste is to use less resources.
