First Grade Visits Rozino Organic Farm

As part of their current learning, grade 1 students have been inquiring into how the food we eat is influenced by where we live as well as our culture.
To support this learning, they visited Rozino Farm, where the students “followed” the way of the milk and observed the preparation of some of the farm products. One of the products was a tasty ice cream "Gelato & Latte" which was served at the end of our visit. The students were able to meet and feed calves and deer, and to collect some eggs from the hens. Also, our hosts shared the farm’s best practices on preserving biodiversity – building a bird “hotel”, snake and bat houses.
At the end we were happy to try a delicious bio certified 3 course lunch.
