Author Elly MacKay visits AAS

This week we hosted Canadian author and illustrator Elly MacKay.
Elly’s love with books started early on, as her parents showed her the magic of paper art.
Before dedicating herself fully to making books, Elly used to teach at schools (she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education) and lecture in libraries.
At AAS, Elly had classes with students of all ages. She demonstrated her creative process - using small paper-cut figures, colorful tissue paper and light, Elly tells enchanting stories in her books. The students were fascinated to participate in creating magical worlds by using just paper, light and their imagination.
