AAS teacher to present at Global IB conference

Every year, the International Baccalaureate holds a global conference in each of its three regions. This year, the Africa Europe Middle East (AEM) region's conference is hosted in the Arab world for the first time, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from October 24 to 26. Last year's conference drew 2,000 educators from the region and even beyond.
AAS teacher Jocelyn Wiley will co-present a workshop for IB educators with Anne Russell, an experienced CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) co-ordinator. Their focus is on how students use reflection as a tool for learning and growth in the IB Core, which consists of three subjects - CAS, the Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge. All three require both formal and informal written reflection, but students often struggle with the task, so Jocelyn and Anne will help workshop participants build a toolkit to support students as they write reflections.
