AAS Student Wins National Gold Award
Scholastic Award Winner

Congratulations to Grade 12 student, Adam L., who was awarded a Gold Medal in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his personal essay, “Are You There Allah? It’s Me, the Jew”. He is the first AAS student ever to receive this award.

As the recipient of a Gold Key earlier in the year, Adam’s essay advanced to the next round of competition in which all Gold Key works from across the US and internationally were judged by an impressive panel of creative industry experts including recognized authors and academics.

Adam’s essay received the highest award – a Gold Medal. He will receive an anthology of winning writing. In addition, Adam will be invited to attend the National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall.
