High School
Our formal curriculum is anchored in standards and benchmarks from our Pre-Kindergarten program up through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) with an emphasis on teaching for understanding. Teachers use a variety of teaching techniques to best meet the unique needs of each student. At times students may be engaged in guided inquiry, collaborative research and self-discovery and, other times, they may work with a small group or receive one-to-one support.
Academic Progress
AAS High School is a time of further exploration where young people develop independence, creativity and critical thinking. Almost all our graduates go on to higher education establishments all over the world; so it is also a time of looking to the future while staying in the present. It is a period when students realise that the academic stakes are high, and look to their teachers for guidance and support.
HS Athletic Opportunities
During High School, a balance between academic studies and athletic pursuits is more important than ever. Students are encouraged to stay active and to participate in a range of sports, both competitively and recreationally. A wide range of teams and sporting opportunities continue to be linked with CEESA each year.
HS Activities & Creativity
High School continues to offer a wide range of art, drama, music and other extra and co-curricular activities, every student is given the chance to excel academically, physically, emotionally and socially.
