Pre-school learning about Harvesting

There is no better way to learn about autumn and harvesting than to visit an orchard and pick some apples!

On a sunny October morning the AAS Pre-School class along with Ms Martin, Ms Milena and Ms Kerri went on a trip to an orchard near Kokaliane.

First, the little apple-pickers had a snack – so they had the strength to carry out the important task they had come for. Then it was time for the real fun!

No matter how high the fruits were up the trees and how heavy the full baskets were – students worked in teams and gathered lots of delicious, fresh apples. After that, the preschoolers continued with picking some vegetables – peppers, zucchini, beetroot and spices. That was a wonderful botanic lesson for the little learners.

After learning how to do harvest and enjoying the warm autumn day outside, Pre-school students plan to make some tasty apple juice and apple sauce.

Thank you autumn for being so generous to us!
