Samantha Pope (1989-1996)As two of the few AAS "die-hards" (89- 96), the school was the base of our childhood for both myself and my brother Lewis.Undoubtably, Ski Week has to be one of my favorite memories, specifically with events like Alex Montgomery throwing himself off a chairlift to rescue his poles and Sasha Kostov and I singing 'Grease' songs on the chairlift to keep ourselves warm. However, the students and teachers that we were fortunate to meet were the essence of the school, many of which I would have liked to have stayed in contact with but do not know their details. Since graduating from the American College (then next door to AAS) I spent a gap year working in both the US and the UK and then spent three years at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth studying International Politics and Intelligence Studies. I then sepent a year at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and am currently serving in the south of England as a Lieutenant in the British Army. If anyone wishes to get in contact with either myself or my brother then please get my email from Maria. |
