Physical Education Preschool to Grade 10

Physical Education provides the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes needed to maintain and enhance personal health and physical development. The program from kindergarten through grade ten offers a selection of psychomotor and athletic activities, which enhance the physical development of the individual and make him/her aware of the benefits of physical activity for health and recreation during a lifetime.

Sports and Activities Program

Physical Fitness and Conditioning - the students will develop and maintain a functional level of physical fitness.
Games and Sports - the students will apply skills and knowledge to enjoy participation and thereby enhance physical, social, and emotional well being.
Stunts, Tumbling and Gymnastics - the students will develop skills and kinesthetic awareness which will permit efficient body management in a variety of situations, and an appreciation for the aesthetic nature and fitness value of this activity.
Aquatics - the students will participate in aquatic activities that will improve their swimming abilities, stamina, fitness and survival skills in water.
Outdoor Education - the students are offered many challenges and problem solving activities.
Athletics and cross country
- The students will experience and be encouraged to take part in running, jumping and throwing activities concentrating on accuracy, speed, height, length and distance.

Ski week - The students participate in skiing and snowboarding activities that will improve their skiing and snowboarding skills, fitness and safety during ski week.
