to the French program. It is a course in Spanish as a foreign language and
cannot be taken by native speakers of Spanish.
KEY GOALS:

• To inspire interest in the Hispanic literature and culture.
• To develop understanding, respect, tolerance and appreciation for other
nationalities and their cultures.
This year there are two courses in Spanish for the 9th and 12th grade students- Spanish I and Spanish II.

in basic Spanish communication in familiar environments and daily situations
by means of simple grammar structures.
