Our ART Teachers

Mrs. Mariangela Anastassova teaches Kindergarten through Gr.5. She has taught Art for 17 years and she is also a professional artist. It is Mrs. Mariangela's belief that every child has talent in Art and it is her responsibility to help each child discover their talent as well as unleash unique skills and abilities to further develop them.

Mr. William Butler teaches Gr.6 through 9. He is a designer and painter, trained in California, Virginia, and New York in the US, Florence, Italy, and most recently here at the Bulgarian National Academy of Art. Over past centuries learning the techniques and ideas of art has been considered an essential part of a child’s education, and Mr. Butler hopes to continue that tradition with his students at the AAS.

Mrs. Vanya Kitina is our assistant for the Middle school Art classes. She is deeply involved in the teaching process and takes great care when working with our children. She possesses remarkable ICT skills which combine with Mr’s Mariangela’s knowledge and enthusiasm to create a number of fantastic collaborative digital projects.
