The AAS Grand Opening - September 2006The new campus of the Anglo-American School was opened on September 10, 2006, and our children were very fortunate to start the 2006-07 academic year in our new ultra-modern building, built on seven hectares of land.The entire AAS community; previous students and families, friends and business partners celebrated The Grand Opening of the new state-of-the-art home of AAS. Their excellencies US Ambassador Beyrle, UK Ambassador Hill, the Mayor of Sofia Boiko Borissov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gergana Grancharova welcomed everyone and congratulated AAS on this achievement. "This school is a symbol of the significance Bulgaria has as a site for foreign investments. It is an expression of our investments in the future of Bulgaria," US Ambassador John Beyrle said in his greeting at the ceremony. With over 42 nationalities and 39 years of advancement in Bulgaria, the new school complex of the Anglo-American School is an outstanding combination of modern style and Bulgarian Revival architecture. |
