The Anglo-American School of Sofia (AAS) was established in 1967 to meet
the educational needs of children from the United States and the United
Kingdom.
The Charter permits the School to enrol children from other diplomatic
missions and generally from the international community in Sofia. It is
a private secular school without affiliation to any religious denomination,
political party or interest group.
For several years it operated on two sites, 15 kilometers apart, but in
January 1998 it moved to the campus of The American College of Sofia. In
September 2006 we began the school year in our brand new, purpose built
campus on seven hectares of land near Pancharevo. The new campus boasts modern facilities and enrollment is increasing. Our new campus is designed to accommodate 450 students.
