Library Curriculum

MISSION STATEMENT

The Library of the Anglo-American School provides an educational and cultural environment where the student’s life-long interest in reading and books is fostered through exposure to ideas using print and non-print resources in a variety of formats.

KEY GOALS

• To provide opportunities and resources for students to develop and expand their appreciation of literature and reading abilities.
• To provide a wide range of reading resources for students and teachers in order to support and enhance the school’s curriculum.
• To plan and work with classroom teachers in order for students to use data and information for knowledge acquisition.
• To provide resources and consulting to parents appropriate to our school community needs.
• To identify and implement resources and information sources for classroom teachers.
• To effectively and efficiently manage the school library resources and program to benefit the school community.
